Apple Valley Relocation

Apple Valley Relocation

If you have ever thought about relocating to sunny California, one of the best places to move to has to be Apple Valley! There are many different reasons to move here, one of them is it’s location. Just 82 miles Northeast of the hustle and bustle of the Los Angeles area, it sits at the Southern end of the Mojave Desert. This means clean air, temperate climates, and you are still within a short drive to all the major areas that have shopping, entertainment, and other things you may enjoy.

You are close to ski resorts, water activities, and even the sights and sounds of the Vegas strip are virtually at your fingertips, without having to actually live there. Prices of homes in this area are some of the best in the country, some are well under $100,000, even for large three bedroom homes and properties of close to half an acre. Here are some of the better schools in state as well, with classes as small as just 23 students per teacher.

The cost of living in Apple Valley is relatively reasonable compared to many of the more populated California cities. Apple Valley, and neighboring Victorville have all the comforts of living in larger communities, without all the problems. This is a family oriented community, so you are likely to see a lot of children running around. People are friendly, and like to meet and great their neighbors, and you may even run into them while shopping.

If you are thinking about relocating to this area, perhaps a good idea would be to visit here first. Victorville has some really good hotels, and this can be an ideal base to start from. You can check out the school district in the area, and see for yourself what makes this area great. While here, you can also explore the Mojave Desert, San Bernadino Mountains, and other attractions in the area.

Here are some interesting facts about the area, one of them is that Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, popular Western Movie actors, lived in the area, and are buried in the local cemetery. Roy and Dale also founded the St. Hillary’s Episcopal Church, a boy’s home, where they took in 20-40 kids and raised those kids as their own kids. Apple Valley was also the location where many of the episodes of the TV series Sky King, popular in the late 1950s. There are many different festivals in the area, the Winter Wonderland is one of our favorites. This event started in 2008, and includes a tree lighting ceremony, train rides, and much more.

We live and work in the Apple Valley area every day and would love to tell you more about the exciting real estate opportunities!
